Sterling silver Claddagh promise ring commissioned by a good friend of mine for her partner as a surprise when she traveled overseas to see him. This piece fuses his heritage and a part of New Zealand by including a stone at the center of the heart that is only found in NZ.Her countries heritage and his brought together in a single piece
Textured wide band ring
Sterling silver ring with wider than usual band, sitting at 10mm, decorated with textured panels around the face of the ring. This client liked the look and feel of wider, bold, pieces that stand out but had trouble finding somewhere local that had in stock, or could make something exactly how they envisioned.
Tehlu's Iron Wheel
A sterling silver piece of fandom for those that like "The Name of the Wind" from the King Killer Chronicals, mounted on my gold and silver chain.Made using scrap metal and dust, brought together with fire and the face of a blacksmiths anvil, a nice parallel to the story of the Iron Wheel in the KKC.

Right angle triangle Earrings
Geometric design, right angle triangle earrings with a subtle bevel on the long side. Catches the light well and makes for a good sparkle.

About Me
Hi! I'm Scott Newberry, Scotty to my friends.I studied Mechatronics Engineering at Massey University. Professionally I'm a Mechatronics Engineer, designing mostly the mechancial parts of electro-mechanical products. Basically I fulfill my dream of "being an inventor", every day.Personally, I have too many hobbies, most of them involving some kind of craft work or creating something. I make silver jewellery, I make fire performing props, I make whips, I've made knives, including one that my friends used to cut their wedding cake, I used to do blacksmithing on the weekends. When I'm not making things I'm traveling the country to go to the odd Ceroc/Modern Jive Dance weekend. I love dancing.Over all I do so many things, and will jump at the chance to learn new skills with so little provocation that I've earned the nickname "Skill addict". Once when I made 4 meters of rope using leaves off the bush I was sitting next to, I was told I'm "the third thing someone should bring with them if they're stranded on a desert island".I try to avoid making the same thing twice. I love giving someone a piece they will enjoy having every day they see it; knowing that if they are ever asked how many people have the same piece they can say "not many, if any".If you have an idea or see something you like, get in touch, I'd love to hear your ideas and work with you to make something special.CheersScotty
